Job Description:

Staff Pharmacist position at CVS Health responsible for transforming health care, helping people navigate the health care system, improving access, lowering costs, and being a trusted partner. Plays a critical role in cultivating a culture of excellence and demonstrating genuine care for patients.

Job Responsibility:

Help manage and improve patient health through safe and appropriate dispensing, counseling, and immunizing practices
Oversee pharmacy as proxy during bench shifts
Strengthen pharmacy performance measures through effective coaching
Support safe and accurate prescription fulfillment
Contribute to positive patient experiences
Proactively offer and deliver immunizations
Support effective management of pharmacy inventory
Ensure pharmacy operations are compliant with state Board of Pharmacy regulations
Remain flexible for scheduling and business needs
Maintain relevant clinical and technical skills
Support access to care and improve patient outcomes through pharmacist delivered clinical care
Understand and comply with all relevant federal and state laws

Requirements:

Active Pharmacist License in the state where the Store is located
Active National Provider Identifier (NPI)
Not on the DEA Excluded Parties list
Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends
Ability to complete required training within designated timeframe
Ability to concentrate on a task over a period of time
Ability to pivot quickly from one task to another
Ability to confirm prescription information and label accuracy
Actively look for ways to help people in a friendly manner
Notice and understand patients' reactions
Use and understand verbal and written communication
Utilize active listening
Ability to use math to solve pharmacy problems
Identifying challenging patient or colleague interactions
Physical mobility and ability to remain upright for extended periods
Ability to lift, scan, and bag items
Ability to reach overhead and grasp items
Fine motor skills for picking, pinching, typing
Ability to extend hands and arms in multiple directions
Control precision for machine adjustments
Stooping and bending capabilities
Close visual acuity for transcribing and reading
Ability to lift up to 20 lbs
Ability to express or exchange ideas by spoken word
Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication

Nice to have:

1-2 years of related work experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
Ability to work in other locations across the market as business needs require
