Job Description:

Job Responsibility:

Managing and improving patient health through safe dispensing, counseling, and immunizing practices
Overseeing pharmacy performance measures through coaching and feedback
Assuming Pharmacy Manager's duties when the primary pharmacist-on-duty
Supporting prescription fulfillment and workflow procedures
Demonstrating compassionate care and resolving insurance or medication issues
Offering and delivering immunizations proactively
Managing pharmacy inventory effectively
Ensuring compliance with state Board of Pharmacy regulations
Writing the pharmacy schedule when directed
Expanding clinical and technical skills through training and CMEs
Supporting access to care through pharmacist delivered clinical care
Understanding and complying with laws, regulations, and professional standards.

Requirements:

Active Pharmacist License in the state where the Store is located
Active National Provider Identifier (NPI)
Not on the DEA Excluded Parties list
Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends
Ability to complete required training within designated timeframe
Ability to pivot quickly from one task to another to meet patient and business needs
Ability to confirm prescription information and label accuracy
Actively look for ways to help people in a friendly manner
Notice and understand patients’ reactions and respond appropriately
Use and understand verbal and written communication
Utilize active listening
Ability to use math to solve a problem
Identifying challenging patient or colleague interactions and choosing the best course of action
Be mobile and remain upright for extended periods of time
Lift, scan, and bag items
Control precision to adjust machines
Stoop to considerable degree
Close visual acuity to perform activities such as transcribing and visual inspection
Occasionally lift up to 20 lbs.
Frequently lift up to 10 lbs.
Consistently lift or exert negligible amount of force
Ability to exchange ideas by spoken word
Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication.

Nice to have:

1-2 years of related work experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
Ability to work in other locations across the market as business needs require.
