Job Description:

Staff Pharmacist position at CVS Health focused on transforming health care, improving access, lowering costs, and being a trusted partner for patients. Responsible for cultivating a culture of excellence, demonstrating genuine care, and setting the bar for the pharmacy team.

Job Responsibility:

Managing and improving patient health through safe dispensing, counseling, and immunizing practices
Overseeing pharmacy operations during bench shifts
Strengthening pharmacy performance measures through coaching
Supporting safe and accurate prescription fulfillment
Contributing to positive patient experiences
Proactively offering and delivering immunizations
Managing pharmacy inventory
Ensuring compliance with state Board of Pharmacy regulations
Writing pharmacy schedule if directed
Maintaining clinical and technical skills
Supporting pharmacist-delivered clinical care services
Understanding and complying with all relevant laws and regulations

Requirements:

Active Pharmacist License in the state where the Store is located
Active National Provider Identifier (NPI)
Not on the DEA Excluded Parties list
Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends
Ability to complete required training within designated timeframe
Ability to concentrate on a task over a period of time
Ability to pivot quickly from one task to another
Ability to confirm prescription information and label accuracy
Actively look for ways to help people in a friendly manner
Notice and understand patients' reactions
Use and understand verbal and written communication
Utilize active listening
Ability to use math to solve pharmacy problems
Identifying challenging patient or colleague interactions
Physical mobility and ability to remain upright for extended periods
Lifting, scanning, and bagging items
Reaching overhead and stretching
Finger dexterity for picking, pinching, typing
Extending hands and arms in multiple directions
Control precision for machine adjustment
Stooping and bending
Close visual acuity for transcribing, computer work, reading
Lifting up to 20 lbs occasionally
Expressing or exchanging ideas by spoken word
Receiving detailed information through oral communication

Nice to have:

1-2 years of related work experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
Ability to work in other locations across the market as business needs require
