Job Description:

As a Staff Pharmacist at CVS Health, you will play a critical role in delivering health solutions and modeling values, while supporting the management and operation of all aspects within your pharmacy.

Job Responsibility:

Living our purpose by helping to manage and improve patient health
Taking direction from the Pharmacy Manager and overseeing the pharmacy as their proxy
Supporting safe and accurate prescription fulfillment
Contributing to positive patient experiences through empathy and care
Proactively offering and delivering immunizations
Effective management of pharmacy inventory
Ensuring pharmacy operations are compliant with state Board of Pharmacy regulations
Remaining flexible for scheduling and business needs
Maintaining relevant clinical and technical skills
Providing pharmacist-delivered clinical care
Complying with federal and state laws, CVS policies, and professional standards.

Requirements:

Active Pharmacist License in the state where the Store is located
Active National Provider Identifier (NPI)
Not on the DEA Excluded Parties list
Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends
Ability to complete required training within designated timeframe
Ability to pivot quickly from one task to another
Ability to confirm prescription information and label accuracy
Actively look for ways to help people in a friendly manner
Respond appropriately to patients’ reactions
Use and understand verbal and written communication
Utilize active listening
Proficiency in mathematical reasoning for calculating prescription quantities
Issue resolution skills for challenging interactions
Physical mobility and ability to lift items up to 20 lbs.

Nice to have:

1-2 years of related work experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
Ability to work in other locations across the market as business needs require
