The Pharmacy Manager Emerging Leader (PMEL) plays a critical role in cultivating a culture of excellence in their pharmacy by acting as a role model for all, demonstrating genuine care, and setting the bar for the pharmacy team, while developing their own leadership skills in preparation for increasing responsibility.
Job Responsibility:
Build upon skills and responsibilities as a Staff or District Support Pharmacist
Complete a self-paced, collaborative training roadmap
Deliver our purpose, model our values, and demonstrate genuine, authentic care for our patients
Act as a role model, mentor, and guide for the pharmacy team
Support the home store Pharmacy Manager by exhibiting best practices when working the bench
Help manage and improve patient health through safe and appropriate dispensing, counseling, and immunizing practices
Take direction from the Pharmacy Manager and oversee the pharmacy as their proxy
Assume Pharmacy Manager’s day-to-day duties when serving as the only or the primary pharmacist-on-duty
Support safe and accurate prescription fulfillment
Contribute to positive patient experiences
Proactively offer and deliver immunizations
Support the effective management of pharmacy inventory
Ensure pharmacy operations are fully compliant with state Board of Pharmacy regulations
Remain flexible for both scheduling and business needs
Maintain relevant clinical and technical skills
Support access to care and help improve patient outcomes through pharmacist delivered clinical care
Understand and comply with all relevant federal and state laws, Board of Pharmacy regulations, professional standards, and ethical principles
Requirements:
6+ months of experience as a Staff or District Support Pharmacist
Active Pharmacist License in the state where the Store is located
Active National Provider Identifier (NPI)
Not on the DEA Excluded Parties list
Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends
Ability to complete required training within designated timeframe

Nice to have:
1+ years of related work experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
Ability to work in other locations across the market as business needs require
