Job Description:

Responsibilities include managing patient health, overseeing pharmacy operations, administering immunizations, and ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.

Job Responsibility:

  • Manage and improve patient health through safe and appropriate dispensing, counseling, and immunizing practices
  • Take direction from the Pharmacy Manager and oversee pharmacy performance metrics
  • Assume Pharmacy Manager’s duties during their absence
  • Support safe and accurate prescription fulfillment
  • Contribute to positive patient experiences by showing empathy and resolving medication issues
  • Deliver and promote immunizations
  • Manage pharmacy inventory and ensure compliance with cold chain practices
  • Ensure compliance with state Board of Pharmacy regulations
  • Write pharmacy schedules if instructed
  • Maintain relevant clinical knowledge and complete company training
  • Provide pharmacist-delivered clinical care services where permissible
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state laws, regulations, and CVS Health policies

Requirements:

  • Active Pharmacist License in the state where the Store is located
  • Active National Provider Identifier (NPI)
  • Not on the DEA Excluded Parties list
  • Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends
  • Ability to complete required training within designated timeframe
  • Ability to concentrate on a task over a period of time
  • Ability to pivot quickly from one task to another to meet patient and business needs
  • Ability to confirm prescription information and label accuracy
  • Ability to use math to solve a problem, such as determining the total number of tablets to dispense
  • Actively look for ways to help people, and do so in a friendly manner
  • Notice and understand patients’ reactions, and respond appropriately
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing with patients and colleagues
  • Maintain clinical and technical skills as the industry evolves

Nice to have:

  • 1-2 years of related work experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
  • Ability to work in other locations across the market as business needs require
