Job Description:

Responsibilities include managing patient health, overseeing pharmacy operations, administering immunizations, and ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.

Job Responsibility:

Manage and improve patient health through safe and appropriate dispensing, counseling, and immunizing practices
Take direction from the Pharmacy Manager and oversee pharmacy performance metrics
Assume Pharmacy Manager’s duties during their absence
Support safe and accurate prescription fulfillment
Contribute to positive patient experiences by showing empathy and resolving medication issues
Deliver and promote immunizations
Manage pharmacy inventory and ensure compliance with cold chain practices
Ensure compliance with state Board of Pharmacy regulations
Write pharmacy schedules if instructed
Maintain relevant clinical knowledge and complete company training
Provide pharmacist-delivered clinical care services where permissible
Ensure compliance with federal and state laws, regulations, and CVS Health policies

Requirements:

Active Pharmacist License in the state where the Store is located
Active National Provider Identifier (NPI)
Not on the DEA Excluded Parties list
Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends
Ability to complete required training within designated timeframe
Ability to concentrate on a task over a period of time
Ability to pivot quickly from one task to another to meet patient and business needs
Ability to confirm prescription information and label accuracy
Ability to use math to solve a problem, such as determining the total number of tablets to dispense
Actively look for ways to help people, and do so in a friendly manner
Notice and understand patients’ reactions, and respond appropriately
Ability to communicate verbally and in writing with patients and colleagues
Maintain clinical and technical skills as the industry evolves

Nice to have:

1-2 years of related work experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
Ability to work in other locations across the market as business needs require
