Job Description:

Staff Pharmacist position at CVS Health focused on transforming health care for customers, helping people navigate the health care system by improving access, lowering costs, and being a trusted partner for every meaningful moment of health.

Job Responsibility:

Managing and improving patient health through safe and appropriate dispensing, counseling, and immunizing practices
Overseeing pharmacy operations during bench shifts
Strengthening pharmacy performance measures through effective coaching
Supporting safe and accurate prescription fulfillment
Contributing to positive patient experiences by showing empathy and genuine care
Proactively offering and delivering immunizations
Supporting effective management of pharmacy inventory
Ensuring pharmacy operations are compliant with state Board of Pharmacy regulations
Supporting scheduling and business needs
Maintaining relevant clinical and technical skills
Supporting pharmacist delivered clinical care such as testing and prescribing services
Understanding and complying with all relevant federal and state laws and regulations

Requirements:

Active Pharmacist License in the state where the Store is located
Active National Provider Identifier (NPI)
Not on the DEA Excluded Parties list
Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends
Ability to complete required training within designated timeframe
Ability to concentrate on a task over a period of time
Ability to pivot quickly from one task to another to meet patient and business needs
Ability to confirm prescription information and label accuracy
Actively look for ways to help people in a friendly manner
Notice and understand patients' reactions and respond appropriately
Use and understand verbal and written communication
Ability to use math to solve pharmacy problems
Identifying challenging patient or colleague interactions and choosing the best course of action
Physical mobility and ability to remain upright for extended periods
Lifting, scanning, and bagging items
Reaching overhead and grasping items
Finger dexterity for picking, pinching, typing
Extending hands and arms in multiple directions
Visual acuity for transcribing, viewing computer terminal, reading
Lifting up to 20 lbs occasionally

Nice to have:

1-2 years of related work experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
Ability to work in other locations across the market as business needs require
