Job Description:

Ninyo & Moore has an immediate opening for a Staff-Level Environmental Professional in Alameda, CA. The successful candidate should have experience performing and reporting on Phase I and Phase II environmental site assessments (groundwater, soil, soil vapor), periodic groundwater monitoring, hazardous building material surveys, and field oversight for assessment and remediation projects. Occasional travel may be required.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Geology, Civil Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field
  • Current OSHA HAZWOPER 40-hour certification
  • Experience in environmental-related areas including site reconnaissance, soil and groundwater sampling, borehole logging, well installation, air monitoring, coordination and oversight of subcontractor, and preparation of daily field reports
  • Experience with data compilation, review and assimilation of historic information and environmental databases, assisting with report preparation and other project documents, phone/email contact/coordination with subcontractors/vendors, phone/email contact related to interviews and discussions with site owner/users, and management of tasks and task budgets
  • Solid base writing skills
  • Effective inter-communication skills
  • Familiarity with ASTM E1527-21 and ASTM E-1903-11
  • Ability to work with a support teams as well as ability to work independently when required
  • Proficiency with Word and Excel
