Job Description:

As a Staff IT Automation Engineer, you will be a technical leader responsible for driving efficiency and scale across the entire corporate IT infrastructure and enterprise ecosystem. You will design, build, and maintain mission-critical automation solutions that eliminate manual processes, enhance security posture, and improve the employee experience globally.

Job Responsibility:

  • SaaS Ecosystem Automation: Lead the architectural design and implementation of automated workflows that provision, de-provision, and manage users and licenses across the organization's critical SaaS ecosystem
  • Workflow Automation: Develop scalable, resilient workflow automation solutions to streamline critical business processes
  • Asset Management Automation: Design and implement solutions for the automated lifecycle management of various endpoints and assets
  • API and Integration Development: Serve as the subject matter expert for integrating disparate systems by building robust, fault-tolerant connections using APIs and event-driven architectures
  • Identity and Access Management (IAM): Drive automation within the IAM infrastructure
  • Enterprise Data Engineering: Drive the architecture and engineering of robust data platforms for IT
  • Technical Leadership: Act as a force multiplier for the team, establishing engineering best practices, leading code reviews, documenting architectures, and mentoring other engineers

Requirements:

  • 10 years of experience in IT Engineering, IT Apps Development or DevOps
  • At least 5 years dedicated to developing large-scale, enterprise environments where services were automated
  • Deep hands-on experience automating complex operations and governance across major enterprise platforms, including GCP, AWS, and/or Azure
  • Deep hands-on experience with MacOS and iOS
  • Highly proficient in at least one modern programming language, with a strong preference for Python for backend logic and automation scripting
  • Demonstrated experience automating core IT Service Management (ITSM) functions
  • Proven, deep experience working directly with a variety of technical interfaces, including robust utilization of APIs and querying and managing various databases
  • Extensive experience designing, deploying, and managing centralized automation platforms
  • Demonstrated ability to dissect complex, cross-functional business problems and translate them into simple, maintainable, and highly efficient code-based solutions
  • Be able to communicate effectively and build confidence across a wide variety of audiences

Nice to have:

  • Experience with Agentic AI or Machine Learning models to enhance automation processes
  • Familiarity with modern infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools such as Terraform
  • Direct experience with tools such as Fleet (for asset management), JAMF, etc.
  • Linux and Windows based systems experience
  • SQL experience

  • Manage supplier selection, technical integration, FAT/SAT, installation oversight, and handover to production
  • Develop control plans, work instructions, process parameters (temperature, humidity, air balance, film thickness, bake cycles), SPC charts, and poka-yoke for critical steps
  • Design and deploy automation where it increases throughput and consistency (robotic application, automated masking/demasking, part tracking). Balance capital vs. part-rate tradeoffs
  • Lead NPI-to-production qualification: pilot runs, capability studies, first-article acceptance, lessons-learned, and ramp risk management
  • Ensure environmental, health & safety, and permitting compliance (VOC control, filtration/waste handling, hazardous materials management) and work with EH&S and local permitting teams
