Job Description

Broadbent & Associates, Inc. (Broadbent) of the Denver Metro Area is looking to hire an organized entry-level, full-time Staff Geologist / Staff Environmental Scientist to work with a wide variety of environmental projects and be based out of our Castle Pines, Colorado office. This Staff Geologist / Scientist position earns a competitive salary, depending on experience.

Job Responsibility

  • Provide support on a range of environmental projects including: Emergency Response, Phase I Environmental Site Assessments, soil and groundwater characterization, air sampling, remediation system operation and maintenance, lithologic logging, well construction monitoring, water and wastewater treatment facility monitoring, and water resources activities
  • Conduct field work to drive project execution and ensure that appropriate health and safety procedures are being followed
  • Interact regularly with local clientele and contractors
  • Provide accurate data to our Senior and Associate Scientists and prepare daily reports

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Geology, Hydrogeology or Environmental Science
  • Entry -level: zero to two years applicable work experience or college course work (e.g. consulting, environmental science, geology, hydrogeology)
  • Ability to work outdoors during summer months, traverse moderate terrain and lift up to 50 pounds
  • Technical writing competency
  • Strong technical and computer skills
  • Self-starter, quick learner and effective communication skills
  • Ability to work individually and as part of a team

Nice to have

  • Water and wastewater systems a plus
  • GIS experience a plus
