Software Resources has an immediate, direct hire job opportunity for a Staff Engineer II – AI Automation with a major corporation in Phoenix, AZ.

Job Responsibility:

  • Provide expertise in a suite of technical tools and products in a given domain to ensure solutions are safe, secure, compliant and reliable
  • Identify develop and support needs, as well as taking on design responsibilities supporting project tasks
  • Facilitate dialogue and activities to ensure team collaboration including teams outside of your domain
  • Develop effective presentations and narratives for their teams
  • Own engineering work from design through production support
  • Build AI‐enabled and agent‐based solutions, including Generative AI (LLMs) and Agentic patterns
  • Apply best practices for reliability, performance, and observability
  • Design and build solutions using Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse)
  • Integrate AI capabilities using Azure OpenAI / Copilot‐style patterns
  • Contribute to API and system integrations, including secure authentication (OAuth)
  • Create clear technical designs and diagrams to explain how solutions work
  • Collaborate with product, engineering, architecture, and business teams
  • Provide technical guidance and mentoring within the project team

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of related experience IT App Support, IT Development, IT Networking, or similar field
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field required
  • Experience designing and supporting enterprise‐scale systems
  • Intermediate Python skills for building integrations, automation, or AI workflows
  • Hands‐on or working knowledge of Generative AI / LLMs and agentic approaches and Azure AI Foundry or similar AI model platforms
  • Understanding of APIs, integrations, and security fundamentals
  • Strong problem‐solving skills and comfort supporting production systems
  • Advanced knowledge of applicable regulatory and legal compliance obligations, rules and regulations, industry standards and practices
  • Advanced proven experience in leading cross-functional teams and managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Advanced ability to see the big picture and align projects with organizational goals
  • Advanced speaking and writing communication skills
  • May require up to 25% travel

Nice to have:

  • Experience with Microsoft Power Platform is a strong plus
  • Previous leadership experience preferred
