Job Responsibility:
Provide technical leadership and ownership of In House and Advantest test equipment, defining standards for performance, reliability, and sustainability
Lead equipment related quality incident investigations, root cause analysis, and CAPA implementation
Drive advanced troubleshooting and recovery of hard down equipment to minimize production downtime
Lead and approve new equipment installation, buyoff, and qualification activities
Govern and verify Preventive Maintenance (PM) quality executed by sustaining teams
Own and maintain equipment documentation (WI, FMEA, Checklists, HIRADC, EAI, Troubleshooting Guides)
Represent test equipment engineering in process and quality audits
Initiate and lead continuous improvement, yield, and cost reduction projects aligned with business objectives
Oversee spare parts strategy and inventory management
Mentor and provide technical direction to test equipment engineers and technicians
Requirements:
Strong understanding of electrical circuits, digital/analog electronics, and instrumentation
Strong working knowledge of problem‑solving methodologies (DMAIC, 5‑Why, Cause & Effect, FTA)
In depth understanding & process characterization of Tester machine and communicate well with machine OEM
Basic programming knowledge (C/C++, Python, or LabVIEW) for automation and data handling
Knowledge of test interface hardware (load boards, probe cards) is an advantage
Good analytical and problem-solving skills
Proficient in standard business application software, Tools & standard engineering method (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, AutoCAD, JMP, SPC, DOE, DMAIC, 8D,5-why etc.)
Bachelor’s Degree (Hons) in Electrical, Mechanical, or Mechatronic Engineering
5+ years of experience in test/equipment engineering within a manufacturing environment
Nice to have:
Knowledge of test interface hardware (load boards, probe cards) is an advantage
