Engineer-in-Training (EIT) / Engineering Intern (EI) or Professional Engineer (PE)
Valid driver’s license with acceptable violation history
Out-of-town travel may be necessary

Job Responsibility

Follow Terracon safety rules, guidelines and standards for all projects. Be a leader in safety
Prepare proposals (scopes and cost estimates) for projects of varying size and complexity under the supervision of a licensed professional engineer
Participate in pre-task planning meetings with the drill crew(s) for each field exploration
Join the driller/drill crew to assist with the completion of field explorations as necessary
Review field logs and field cone sounding data
Assign laboratory testing on each soil sample
Evaluate laboratory and/or field data to prepare typed logs for incorporation into deliverables
Perform geotechnical engineering calculations and evaluations
Apply sound engineering principles to prepare geotechnical reports/letters/addendums containing written geotechnical recommendations
Communicate complex engineering issues and concepts to technical and non-technical clients and project teams
