Staff Engineer – Full Stack

• Build Core Systems: Design, implement, and maintain robust, scalable, and secure software solutions
• Contribute to the Architecture: Contribute to the technical architecture decisions to ensure scalability, maintainability, and performance of our systems
• Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Partner with product, design, and ML teams to translate business goals into robust features
• Advise and Guide: Provide technical guidance when needed to less experienced engineers and help shape a high-performance, collaborative culture
• Innovate: Leverage emerging technologies in AI/ML, generative AI, and hybrid search to enhance product capabilities
• Shape Engineering Culture: As a founding team member, influence team practices, tooling, and values from the ground up

• 7+ years in full-stack software development, ideally with experience in early-stage or high-growth startups
• Proficiency in Python (FastAPI), TypeScript (Next.js), PostgreSQL, AWS, Docker
• Experience with LLM APIs (GPT, Claude, etc.) and/or vector DBs (e.g., Pinecone) is a big plus
• Strong collaboration with product teams, with an ability to balance speed, quality, and user impact
• A dynamic, entrepreneurial approach to problem-solving
• Thrives in fast-paced, ambiguous environments with a “get-it-done” attitude
• Skilled at designing resilient systems and debugging complex issues in live environments
• Solid interpersonal skills with the ability to work well with team members from varied cultural backgrounds
• Strong ability to clearly communicate to both technical and to a lesser extent business audiences
