Job Description:

Haven Homes, a Cassia community, is hiring a Staff Development / Infection Control Nurse (RN) to join our team! This role is ideal for a nurse who enjoys teaching, mentoring, and strengthening clinical practices while making a meaningful impact on resident care. At Haven Homes, you’ll be part of a supportive, mission-driven team where your clinical expertise, leadership, and commitment to quality are truly valued.

Job Responsibility:

  • Implement infection control policies and procedures throughout the facility
  • Perform quality assurance audits of charts and other nursing-related issues to ensure compliance with state & federal regulations in all departments
  • Assist in preparation for state and federal surveys
  • Educate staff members continually by attending workshops, seminars, and other work-related courses
  • Manage onboarding and ongoing educational needs of staff members
  • Collaborate with peers on educational tools and track records in our system
  • Implement staff development and clinical staff competency programs incorporating appropriate adult learning principles
  • Report quality issues and recommend opportunities for improvement to the Director of Nursing
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Must be a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Minnesota
  • Prior experience in long-term care required
  • Strong clinical background and knowledge of LTC rules and regulations
  • Knowledge of managing safety programs
  • Must have excellent attendance record, leadership ability, & ability to work flexible hours as needed
