Job Description

Archer is an aerospace company based in San Jose, California building an all-electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft with a mission to advance the benefits of sustainable air mobility. We are designing, manufacturing, and operating an all-electric aircraft that can carry four passengers while producing minimal noise.

Job Responsibility

  • Work with the business process owners to understand their business requirements, design and implement solutions, and ensure the capabilities delivered meet our current and rapidly scalable manufacturing processes
  • Review current solutions in place, analyze and recommend process and solution improvements
  • Apply understanding of Aircraft Assembly, Manufacturing, Maintenance and Repair process, including both engineering to shop floor manufacturing and scheduling
  • Perform functional specifications within SAP PP-PEO module and will be conversant with the integration aspects
  • Complete configure and customization of SAP PPPEO to align with specific business requirements at Archer Enhance existing functionality, develop new features, and implement changes to support manufacturing processes and integration with other business areas, cross system integrations as well as integrations with 3rd party systems such as SCADA, Team Center
  • Collaborate with other SAP modules and external SAP and non-SAP systems to establish seamless integration and efficient data exchange
  • Develop interfaces and integration solutions to ensure data consistency and accuracy
  • Investigate and resolve issues related to SAP PP-PEO functionality, working closely with end-users at Archer to understand their needs and provide effective solutions
  • Offer technical support, troubleshoot problems, and implement enhancements to address system issues
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, including functional specifications, technical design documents, and test plans at Archer
  • Ensure solutions are fully tested through the various phases such as unit testing, integration testing, and support end-users during user acceptance testing

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Chemical Engineering
  • 12 years of experience with SAP S4 - Implementation in the area of Supply Chain, Product Development, Manufacturing and Distribution (SAP MM AND SAP PP) or related
  • Skilled in SAP S/4 HANA and SAP
  • PP-Production Planning, and MM - Materials Management, and QM - Quality Management
  • MES (Manufacturing Execution System), and Coupa (or similar)
  • SAP CIG, and MuleSoft (or similar), and EDI
  • Willing to travel domestically 25% of the time
