A rapidly growing venture-backed startup is on a mission to transform how people interact with technology. With hundreds of thousands of weekly active users and revenues scaling at record pace, the team is building a new generation of AI-powered tools designed to accelerate how complex software systems are developed, deployed, and maintained. They are now seeking an Applied AI Engineer to drive forward the product’s most ambitious AI capabilities. This is a hands-on, impact-driven role where your work will be used by a global community of engineers from day one.

Job Responsibility

  • Build and refine AI-driven product features that feel intuitive and responsive
  • Apply data from real users to personalise interactions and improve predictive performance
  • Experiment with model fine-tuning, retrieval methods, and feedback loops to maximise accuracy
  • Develop specialised AI-powered workflows that simplify complex technical tasks
  • Collaborate with engineers and product leaders to ship enhancements rapidly and iteratively

Requirements

  • STEM degree from a top school (bonus points for Masters or PhD)
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience applying AI/ML techniques to real-world, user-facing products
  • Strong software engineering background with a track record of shipping at scale
  • Experience tuning and deploying LLMs
  • Comfortable moving quickly, testing new approaches, and balancing experimentation with reliability

Nice to have

Experience with NLU and predictive systems is highly beneficial
