Job Description:

We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team in Canonsburg, Pennsylvania. This is a long-term contract position that offers the opportunity to contribute to a growing organization in a dynamic and collaborative environment. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in general ledger accounting and corporate tax, along with proficiency in Dynamics GP.

Job Responsibility:

  • Prepare and maintain accurate journal entries to ensure timely and precise financial reporting
  • Perform reconciliations across various accounts to verify the accuracy of financial data
  • Manage general ledger activities, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies
  • Assist with corporate tax preparation, including calculations and documentation
  • Support the implementation and use of Dynamics GP for financial processes
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of accounting functions
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends and provide insights for decision-making
  • Monitor and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and accounting principles
  • Contribute to the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
  • Offer support during audits and provide documentation as needed

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in general ledger accounting and journal entry preparation
  • Strong knowledge of corporate tax regulations and compliance
  • Proficiency in Dynamics GP or similar accounting software
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Effective communication skills for interacting with team members and stakeholders
