We are looking for a Staff Accountant to join a growing healthcare organization in Dallas, Texas. This role supports core accounting operations across a large multi-entity environment and plays an important part in preparing accurate financial information for leadership review. The position offers the opportunity to contribute to month-end activities, financial reporting, reconciliations, and ongoing process improvements within a fast-moving accounting team.
Job Responsibility:
Support day-to-day accounting activities and help maintain accurate financial records across numerous entities
Prepare and post journal entries with complete documentation and appropriate supporting detail
Participate in the month-end close cycle, including variance review and follow-up on notable differences between actual and budget results
Track, analyze, and record credit card transactions for multiple locations to ensure timely general ledger posting
Compile and review financial and operational reporting packages for distribution to management and senior leaders
Enter weekly cash activity and complete monthly bank reconciliations with a high level of accuracy
Reconcile balance sheet accounts and validate that subledger balances align with the general ledger
Help strengthen internal control procedures and support compliance with financial reporting requirements
Assist with audit preparation, external reporting needs, and special projects that improve accounting processes
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related business discipline
At least 2 years of experience in accounting or finance
Working knowledge of general ledger accounting, journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close procedures
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and advanced formulas used for financial analysis
Ability to work with large data sets and translate findings into clear financial information
Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain financial results to non-financial teams
