Staff Accountant

• Support day-to-day accounting activities and help maintain accurate financial records across numerous entities
• Prepare and post journal entries with complete documentation and appropriate supporting detail
• Participate in the month-end close cycle, including variance review and follow-up on notable differences between actual and budget results
• Track, analyze, and record credit card transactions for multiple locations to ensure timely general ledger posting
• Compile and review financial and operational reporting packages for distribution to management and senior leaders
• Enter weekly cash activity and complete monthly bank reconciliations with a high level of accuracy
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and validate that subledger balances align with the general ledger
• Help strengthen internal control procedures and support compliance with financial reporting requirements
• Assist with audit preparation, external reporting needs, and special projects that improve accounting processes

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related business discipline
• At least 2 years of experience in accounting or finance
• Working knowledge of general ledger accounting, journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close procedures
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and advanced formulas used for financial analysis
• Ability to work with large data sets and translate findings into clear financial information
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain financial results to non-financial teams
• Familiarity with accounting systems
