This is a contract position where you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the company’s financial health and ensuring accuracy in accounting processes. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in corporate tax, sales tax, and general ledger management while streamlining financial workflows and enhancing operational efficiency.
Job Responsibility:
Reconcile financial accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance with company standards
Manage accounts payable processes, including bill payments and vendor communications
Collaborate with the organization’s group to align accounting practices with broader financial goals
Prepare and review journal entries to guarantee proper documentation of transactions
Oversee corporate tax and sales tax filings, ensuring timely and precise submissions
Maintain and update the general ledger, ensuring all entries are accurate and up-to-date
Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for accounting processes
Provide recommendations for process improvements to enhance financial efficiency
Assist in training and transitioning tasks to a future accounting clerk for day-to-day operations
Requirements:
Proven experience in corporate tax and sales tax preparation
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and general ledger management
Proficiency in preparing and reviewing journal entries
Ability to reconcile accounts with attention to detail and accuracy
Familiarity with corporate tax returns and regulatory compliance
Excellent organizational skills to streamline workflows and develop SOPs
Effective communication skills to collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders
Previous experience in a contract accounting role preferred
