Job Responsibility:
Manage general accounting tasks, including maintaining financial records and tracking assets, liabilities, and profit and loss
Prepare and reconcile monthly balance sheets related to cash, receivables, payables, accruals, prepaids, fixed assets, and deferred revenue
Create and post journal entries accurately and timely
Maintain financial statements, general ledger accounts, and records in compliance with company policies
Perform daily bank reconciliations and finalize monthly account reconciliations to ensure accuracy in transactions
Conduct detailed reviews of job costs to ensure proper documentation and timely closure
Meet deadlines for month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial reporting and closing procedures
Analyze monthly financial statements, identifying discrepancies and ensuring completeness
Assist external auditors by providing necessary financial information and documentation for audits
Prepare tax forms or compile data for external tax preparers as assigned
Requirements:
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to think critically and solve problems effectively
Knowledge of general financial accounting principles and cost accounting
Familiarity with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, and other accounting software
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field preferred
At least one year of relevant accounting experience
