Job Description:

We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team. This role involves handling daily accounting tasks, preparing ledger entries, and supporting month-end and quarter-end processes. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills and the ability to work collaboratively across departments to ensure accurate financial reporting.

Job Responsibility:

Develop and analyze spreadsheet reports to verify financial information and provide insights
Prepare and reconcile general ledger entries while maintaining accurate records and files
Complete daily payroll entries and assist in month-end accrual processes
Research and interpret financial data to address inquiries from auditors and other departments
Provide accounting support to various departments, including purchasing, maintenance, and production
Conduct physical inventory counts for spare parts during month-end and quarter-end processes
Process daily bank deposits using check scanning tools
Enter freight invoices into accounts payable systems accurately and efficiently
Compile and analyze month-end freight data by state using Excel
Protect the organization’s sensitive information by maintaining confidentiality

Requirements:

A minimum of 1 year of accounting experience
Proficiency in Excel, including the use of formulas and advanced functions
Familiarity with financial processes in the banking industry
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities
Effective communication skills to address accounting and financial queries
Commitment to maintaining confidentiality in handling sensitive data
