Job Description:

For nearly a century, Bollinger Shipyards has created a legacy as a leading designer and builder of high-performance marine vessels. We are renowned for delivering top-quality construction, manufacturing, and repair services with a commitment to safety and environmental responsibility. We are seeking a dedicated Staff Accountant with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or an associated field. The candidate will compile and analyze financial data to prepare entries to various general ledger accounts while documenting business transactions.

Job Responsibility:

  • Preparing and maintaining financial reports such as balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other summaries to reflect the company’s current and projected financial position
  • Analyzing yard cost and evaluating job cost in order to be able to work with the project managers and collaborate on an accurate estimate at completion for current yard projects
  • Help with time entry and accounts payable invoices as needed
  • Help with invoicing of projects
  • Help gather requested data from auditors
  • Preparing sales tax returns

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or an associated field
  • Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience is preferred

Nice to have:

Experience with Oracle is a plus
