Job Description:

The Staff Accountant is responsible for supporting the daily accounting operations and financial reporting processes using Oracle NetSuite. This position ensures the accuracy of financial data, maintains general ledger activities, and contributes to both month-end and year-end close. The Staff Accountant collaborates across departments to deliver timely, reliable financial information and upholds compliance with company policies and accounting standards.

Job Responsibility:

  • Prepare and post journal entries within NetSuite for routine and non-routine transactions
  • Reconcile general ledger accounts, bank statements, and other financial accounts in NetSuite
  • Assist with month-end and year-end close by preparing reconciliations, supporting schedules, and financial reports
  • Review and process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions, ensuring proper coding and documentation
  • Maintain and update fixed asset registers and support depreciation calculations
  • Support internal and external audits by providing requested documentation from NetSuite
  • Help develop and implement process improvements for greater efficiency and accuracy
  • Collaborate with other finance team members on budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
  • Uphold internal controls and ensure compliance with company policies and GAAP

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • 2+ years of accounting experience
  • hands-on NetSuite experience is strongly preferred
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles and best practices
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other financial tools
  • High attention to detail, strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience supporting audits and performing account reconciliations
