Job Description:

We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team in Los Angeles, California. In this Contract-to-Permanent position, you will play a key role in managing financial records and ensuring compliance with tax regulations. Job Responsibility:

Prepare and review corporate tax returns to ensure timely and accurate submissions
Handle sales tax filings and compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
Record and reconcile journal entries to maintain the accuracy of financial accounts
Manage the general ledger and ensure proper categorization of transactions
Perform bank account reconciliations to identify discrepancies and maintain accuracy
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure financial processes align with organizational goals
Analyze financial data to identify trends and support decision-making processes
Assist with audits and provide necessary documentation to auditors
Support month-end and year-end closing procedures to ensure timely reporting
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of accounting standards and tax regulations

Requirements:

Proven experience in preparing corporate tax returns and managing tax compliance
Strong knowledge of sales tax processes and regulations
Proficiency in recording journal entries and maintaining general ledger accounts
Familiarity with bank reconciliations and resolving discrepancies
Excellent analytical skills to interpret financial data and support decision-making
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
Solid understanding of accounting principles and practices
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
