We are looking for a Staff Accountant to support both day-to-day accounting activity and broader office operations in Chatsworth, California. Job Responsibility
Oversee monthly closing activities by preparing entries, reviewing balances, and completing reconciliations to support accurate financial reporting
Administer accounts payable and accounts receivable workflows, including receiving payments, applying cash, and coordinating outgoing disbursements by check and other approved methods
Compare bank records against internal transactions, investigate discrepancies, and maintain dependable documentation for all account activity
Keep wire transfer instructions current and organized to support secure and timely payment processing
Coordinate the preparation and submission of annual property tax payments to ensure deadlines are met without interruption
Assist with general administrative and office support duties that help daily operations run smoothly and efficiently
Maintain accounting records within the general ledger and support the accuracy of supporting schedules and financial data
Contribute to inventory-related accounting tasks by helping track warehouse inventory activity and supporting related recordkeeping needs
Requirements
Experience working in a Staff Accountant or similar accounting position with responsibility for transactional and close-related tasks
Practical knowledge of month-end close procedures, journal entry preparation, and general ledger maintenance
Hands-on experience managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations with strong attention to detail
Familiarity with sales tax processes and the ability to support accurate financial compliance activities
Understanding of inventory accounting concepts, including exposure to warehouse inventory tracking and reconciliation
Strong organizational and administrative skills with the ability to manage both accounting work and general office responsibilities
Proficiency in maintaining accurate records, prioritizing deadlines, and handling confidential financial information professionally
