Job Description:

A respected and sustainability-focused organization in the manufacturing and aerospace industry is looking to bring on a Staff Accountant for a contract-to-permanent opportunity. This role is ideal for an accounting professiona who thrives in a collaborative and fast-paced environment, values accuracy, and enjoys working both independently and alongside cross-functional teams.

Job Responsibility:

Record journal entries and manage general ledger transactions
Process vendor invoices and customer payments
Reconcile bank statements and manage month-end close activities
Close work orders and sales orders for accurate reporting
Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., production, supply chain, engineering)
Assist with special accounting projects as needed

Requirements:

Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting experience
Strong working knowledge of GAAP and Excel
Ability to prioritize, multitask, and maintain attention to detail in a dynamic environment
Comfortable asking for clarification and communicating across departments
Experience in manufacturing or production environments is helpful but not required
Familiarity with SAP is a plus
Degree preferred but not required — equivalent professional experience (e.g., 10+ years) is valued
A minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting roles, with a focus on journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting
Proficiency in accounting software such as NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, or SAP
Strong knowledge of accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), and general ledger processes
Advanced Excel skills, including the ability to work with formulas, pivot tables, and large datasets
Demonstrated ability to manage month-end close activities independently and efficiently
Experience in aerospace or a production-focused environment is preferred
Excellent organizational and communication skills to collaborate across departments
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is strongly preferred

Nice to have:
