We are looking for an experienced Staff Accountant to join our team in Dallas, Texas. This role will focus on managing Accounts Receivable and royalty operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with contractual agreements. As part of a long-term contract position, you will play a vital role in maintaining financial processes and supporting reporting requirements.
Job Responsibility:
Oversee daily Accounts Receivable activities, including invoice creation, cash application, and account reconciliations
Process and review royalty statements to guarantee timely and accurate payments in alignment with agreements
Maintain comprehensive documentation for royalty contracts and ensure adherence to all terms
Utilize Oracle systems to input AR transactions, generate detailed reports, and assist with month-end close procedures
Monitor and analyze aging reports, follow up on overdue accounts, and escalate unresolved payment issues
Support audit processes by preparing schedules and providing required documentation for AR and royalty transactions
Prepare and present Accounts Receivable and royalty-related reports for management's review
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address discrepancies and streamline accounting operations
Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting standards in all financial processes
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting, specifically in Accounts Receivable or royalties
Proficiency in Oracle systems is required
Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including managing large datasets and performing reconciliations
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and internal controls
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to work effectively across departments
Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities
