Job Description:

We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team in Dover, New Hampshire. In this role, you will manage essential financial operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance across all accounting processes. This position is ideal for professionals with a strong foundation in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger management.

Job Responsibility:

Record daily financial transactions, including journal entries, to maintain accurate accounting records
Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely payments and receipts
Conduct bank reconciliations to verify the accuracy of financial accounts
Manage and reconcile the general ledger to ensure proper account balance and reporting
Prepare and process payments while reviewing financial documentation for errors or discrepancies
Analyze and resolve accounting issues to maintain compliance with company policies and regulations
Utilize QuickBooks to manage and track financial data efficiently
Support month-end and year-end closing procedures by preparing necessary reports and reconciliations
Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and improve operational efficiency

Requirements:

Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting or a related field
Proficiency in accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes
Strong understanding of bank reconciliations and general ledger management
Experience with preparing journal entries and maintaining accurate financial records
Advanced skills in QuickBooks or similar accounting software
Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within a team environment
