Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual looking to leverage their expertise in general accounting, data entry, and financial software proficiency.

Job Responsibility:

Perform general accounting tasks, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end closes
Process biweekly payroll using UKG and ensure compliance with all applicable payroll regulations
Maintain and analyze financial records and reports using Excel and Great Plains
Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
Contribute to accurate reporting and budgeting through data entry and analysis
Support financial audits and ensure adherence to company policies and regulatory standards
Collaborate with the team to optimize accounting processes and improve efficiency

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
2–4 years of experience in accounting or finance-related roles
Proficiency in Excel, Great Plains, UKG
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work
Experience in payroll processing, preferably biweekly payroll
Exceptional organizational and time management skills
Ability to communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders

Nice to have:

Healthcare experience
Familiarity with EPIC (healthcare software)
Experience in corporate tax preparation and sales tax filings
Strong knowledge of journal entries and general ledger maintenance
Familiarity with payroll systems in healthcare settings
