Job Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to support core accounting operations in Boulder, Colorado. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing tax-related documentation, and helping ensure day-to-day accounting activities are completed efficiently. The ideal candidate brings strong knowledge of general ledger processes, journal entries, and corporate and sales tax practices.

Job Responsibility

  • Prepare and record journal entries to support accurate month-end and ongoing accounting activity
  • Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, researching and resolving discrepancies as needed
  • Assist with the preparation of corporate tax filings and supporting schedules to meet reporting deadlines
  • Manage sales tax calculations, reporting, and related documentation in compliance with applicable regulations
  • Review financial data for accuracy and completeness while supporting routine accounting close processes
  • Organize accounting records and provide documentation for audits, tax reviews, and internal reporting needs

Requirements

  • Experience working in a staff accounting or similar accounting support role
  • Practical knowledge of general ledger accounting and account reconciliation
  • Ability to prepare and post journal entries with a high level of accuracy
  • Familiarity with corporate tax return support and related tax documentation
  • Understanding of sales tax processes, filings, and compliance requirements
