Job Description:

A hospitality and restaurant company is seeking a hands-on Accountant to support day-to-day accounting operations and financial reporting. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented accounting professional with experience in hospitality, restaurant, or real estate environments. The Accountant will be actively involved in accounts payable, accounts receivable, inventory, billing, and month-end close activities. This is a fully in-office position. Hospitality, restaurant, or real estate experience is highly preferred. QuickBooks or MIP experience is a plus.

Job Responsibility:

Review and support accounts payable functions to ensure invoices are processed accurately and timely
Review and support accounts receivable activities, including cash applications, collections follow-up, and account reconciliation
Maintain and monitor inventory records, reconciliations, and related reporting
Assist with and review billing processes to ensure accuracy, completeness, and timely invoicing
Participate in the month-end close process, including journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, and supporting schedules
Prepare and maintain general ledger account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies
Support the preparation of internal financial reports and other accounting analyses as needed
Work closely with operations and management to ensure accurate accounting for business activity and inventory movement
Help maintain organized financial records and support improvements to accounting processes and controls
Utilize accounting systems and spreadsheets to manage financial data

Requirements:

3+ years of accounting experience
Experience in hospitality, restaurant, or real estate highly preferred
Strong hands-on experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, inventory, billing, and month-end close required
Experience with QuickBooks, Jonas, Sage or MIP experience is a plus
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work fully onsite in a collaborative office setting
