Staff Accountant

• Prepare and post accurate journal entries to maintain the integrity of financial records
• Oversee general ledger functions and ensure compliance with accounting standards
• Conduct bank reconciliations to verify and align financial transactions
• Participate in month-end closing activities, including account analysis and adjustments
• Manage inventory accounting processes and ensure proper tracking and reporting
• Supervise up to three accounting staff members, providing guidance and support
• Utilize QuickBooks to perform daily accounting tasks and maintain records
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address accounting-related inquiries
• Assist with audits and ensure proper documentation of financial data

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field
• 2–4 years of accounting experience with attention to detail
• Proficiency in QuickBooks and general ledger functions
• Strong understanding of journal entries and bank reconciliations
• Experience with inventory accounting processes
• Effective communication and organizational skills
• Ability to lead and mentor less experienced accounting staff

Familiarity with Fishbowl inventory software
