Job Description:

We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team on a contract basis in Salem, Oregon. This role requires expertise in accounting processes and proficiency in Sage software to assist with journal entries and year-end financial tasks. The position is entirely in-office and provides an excellent opportunity to contribute to critical accounting functions.

Job Responsibility:

Record and reconcile journal entries in Sage software to support year-end financial processes
Perform accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) tasks with accuracy and efficiency
Conduct thorough bank reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy
Maintain and update the general ledger to reflect accurate financial records
Assist with month-end close procedures, ensuring all financial data is properly accounted for
Collaborate with team members to identify and resolve discrepancies in financial records
Provide support for audits and other financial reviews as needed
Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.

Requirements:

Proven experience in accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes
Proficiency in Sage software is strongly preferred
Strong knowledge of general ledger management and journal entries
Demonstrated ability to perform bank reconciliations accurately
Experience with month-end close procedures and financial reporting
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to work effectively in an office environment
Strong communication skills to collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
