Job Description:

We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to support core accounting operations for a long-term contract opportunity in Immokalee, Florida. This role is ideal for someone who can manage day-to-day financial activities with accuracy while contributing to tax-related reporting and month-end close work. The position offers the chance to work across general ledger processes, journal entry preparation, and corporate tax responsibilities in a dynamic business environment.

Job Responsibility:

  • Prepare and record journal entries to maintain accurate and timely financial records
  • Reconcile general ledger accounts and investigate discrepancies to ensure reporting integrity
  • Support month-end and year-end close activities by organizing financial data and completing assigned accounting tasks
  • Assist with corporate tax filings and related documentation in accordance with applicable requirements
  • Manage sales tax reporting processes, including the review of transactional data for completeness and accuracy
  • Help compile information needed for corporate tax return preparation and submission
  • Review accounting transactions to confirm proper coding and alignment with internal financial procedures
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to gather supporting schedules, resolve issues, and improve accounting workflow efficiency

Requirements:

  • Experience working in a Staff Accountant or similar accounting role
  • Practical knowledge of general ledger accounting and journal entry preparation
  • Background in corporate tax, including exposure to corporate tax return support
  • Familiarity with sales tax reporting and related compliance activities
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accuracy across financial records
  • Ability to organize multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting
  • Proficiency in standard accounting systems and spreadsheet-based analysis
