Staff Accountant

• Perform reconciliations for payroll accounts, disbursement accounts, and other financial accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness
• Assist with the preparation and filing of corporate tax returns, including sales tax documentation
• Create and post journal entries to maintain accurate records in the general ledger
• Support the monthly closing process by managing financial data and preparing required reports
• Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks Enterprise Desktop and Office Suite to streamline daily tasks
• Collaborate with team members to address accounting discrepancies and improve processes
• Provide general support to the accounting department, ensuring smooth operations and compliance with financial standards
• Monitor and analyze financial transactions to identify and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
• Assist with tax-related tasks, including corporate tax filings and sales tax calculations

• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in an accounting role
• Proficiency in Office Suite and QuickBooks Enterprise Desktop
• Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with team members
• Experience with corporate tax filings and sales tax documentation
• Skilled in preparing journal entries and maintaining the general ledger
• Ability to perform account reconciliations with precision and attention to detail
• Familiarity with monthly closing processes and financial reporting requirements

A degree in Accounting is preferred but not mandatory
