This position offers a long-term contract opportunity to contribute to the company's financial operations and support various accounting processes. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting and maintaining compliance with accounting standards.
Job Responsibility:
Prepare and record journal entries to ensure accurate financial data
Reconcile monthly bank statements and credit card transactions to maintain financial accuracy
Support the maintenance of general ledger accounts by reviewing and updating entries
Assist in the month-end and year-end closing processes to finalize financial reports
Provide audit support by organizing and preparing necessary documentation
Manage accounting tasks related to offerings, tithes, and contributions to ensure proper tracking
Collaborate with team members to identify and resolve discrepancies in financial records
Review financial reports for accuracy and compliance with company policies
Develop and implement effective accounting procedures to streamline operations
Requirements:
Proficiency in preparing and posting journal entries
Solid understanding of general ledger management
Experience with bank and credit card reconciliations
Knowledge of month-end and year-end closing procedures
Familiarity with audit preparation and documentation
Ability to work with financial data related to offerings and contributions
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
