Staff Accountant

• Manage financial reports, records, and general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance
• Prepare and review account reconciliations, journal entries, and accrual schedules during month-end close activities
• Assist in drafting monthly financial statements, providing analysis, and explaining variances compared to forecasts and previous years
• Oversee fixed asset records and depreciation schedules, ensuring proper documentation and reporting
• Conduct internal audits and maintain documentation for accounts payable, purchasing, and treasury
• Support the improvement of financial processes by utilizing existing software and recommending enhancements
• Research and address financial inquiries from management, delivering timely and accurate responses
• Ensure compliance with established accounting principles and organizational standards
• Participate in special projects and provide support to the accounting team as needed
• Identify opportunities to enhance the efficiency of financial reporting processes

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
• 1-3 years of experience in a staff accounting role
• Advanced understanding of accounting principles and the ability to interpret financial data
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and spreadsheets
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• High level of integrity and commitment to ethical standards

Experience with Aspire and Acumatica financial software is a plus
