Job Description:

We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team on a contract basis in Collierville, Tennessee. In this role, you will collaborate closely with the Finance Manager to support key financial operations, including month-end activities, budgeting, forecasting, and general accounting tasks. This position requires strong proficiency in Excel, with advanced skills in pivot tables and related functions.

Job Responsibility:

Assist in preparing and reviewing month-end financial statements and reports
Perform budget planning and monitoring alongside forecasting activities
Handle journal entries and maintain accuracy within the general ledger
Ensure compliance with corporate tax regulations, including sales tax and tax return preparation
Work with financial systems such as OneStream, JD Edwards EnterpriseOne, and SAP to manage accounting processes
Support the Finance Manager in analyzing financial data and identifying trends
Allocate budgets effectively to meet organizational goals
Maintain and update records to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
Participate in audits and assist in reconciling discrepancies
Collaborate with other departments to streamline financial operations

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Proven experience in corporate tax, sales tax, and tax return preparation
Proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables and advanced functions
Familiarity with financial systems such as OneStream, JD Edwards EnterpriseOne, and SAP
Strong understanding of budgeting and forecasting principles
Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
Effective communication skills for interacting with various stakeholders
