We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team in San Diego, California. This position supports entity-level and consolidated accounting activities, helping ensure accurate reporting across a complex multi-entity environment. The role also partners with finance, tax, audit, and legal stakeholders to strengthen financial processes and provide reliable information for business decisions.
Job Responsibility
Prepare and review consolidated financial results for multiple entities, ensuring reporting is accurate, timely, and well supported
Manage intercompany accounting activities, including transaction setup, reconciliations, and elimination entries across domestic and international subsidiaries
Complete journal entries and general ledger reconciliations, including accounts involving foreign currency activity and other moderately complex balances
Assist with accounting for acquisitions and related purchase accounting matters, while supporting other corporate accounting projects tied to business growth
Partner with FP&A, tax, audit, and legal teams to maintain compliant reporting, support transfer pricing activities, and improve intercompany allocations
Develop schedules and documentation required for internal and external reporting, audits, and statutory compliance across multiple jurisdictions
Identify opportunities to streamline close, reporting, and reconciliation processes through better automation, workflow design, and system utilization
Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and other financial planning support as business needs require
Requirements
Experience in staff or corporate accounting with hands-on responsibility for general ledger activity, journal entries, and account reconciliations
Knowledge of consolidated reporting and intercompany accounting within a multi-entity environment
Familiarity with corporate tax concepts, including coordination with tax teams on corporate tax return and sales tax matters
Ability to work with multi-currency transactions and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced setting
Understanding of financial reporting requirements and compliance expectations across different entities or jurisdictions
Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across accounting, FP&A, tax, audit, legal, and operational teams
Proficiency with accounting systems and Excel, with the ability to improve reporting efficiency and process quality
