This is a long-term contract position offering a great opportunity to contribute to financial operations and ensure the accuracy of accounting records.
Job Responsibility:
Prepare and file corporate tax returns with accuracy and compliance to regulations
Manage and reconcile sales tax accounts, ensuring timely payments and filings
Record journal entries and maintain organized financial documentation
Oversee and analyze the general ledger for discrepancies and necessary adjustments
Collaborate with the accounting team to support month-end and year-end closing processes
Assist in preparing financial reports and statements for management review
Conduct periodic audits to ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations
Provide support during tax audits and resolve any related inquiries
Stay updated on changes in tax laws and accounting standards to maintain compliance
Requirements:
Proven experience in corporate tax preparation and filing
Strong knowledge of sales tax regulations and processes
Proficiency in recording journal entries and maintaining accurate records
Familiarity with general ledger management and reconciliation
Solid understanding of accounting principles and standards
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and meet deadlines
Excellent organizational and analytical skills
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
