Job Description:

We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team in Salt Lake City, Utah. In this long-term contract role, you will play a vital part on the accounting team with a focus on accounts receivables and reconciliations.

Job Responsibility:

Prepare and post journal entries to ensure accurate financial reporting
Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, ensuring all accounts are balanced
Manage accounts receivable processes, including invoicing and collections
Perform account reconciliations to verify accuracy and resolve discrepancies
Conduct balance sheet reconciliations to ensure proper financial documentation
Complete bank reconciliations to verify transactions and resolve any discrepancies
Support month-end and year-end closing procedures
Collaborate with team members to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency
Generate financial reports and provide insights to support decision-making
Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies

Requirements:

Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting or a related field
Proficiency in preparing journal entries and managing general ledger activities
Strong knowledge of accounts receivable processes and account reconciliations
Experience with balance sheet and bank reconciliations
Familiarity with accounting standards and best practices
Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
Effective communication skills for collaborating with team members
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
