Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Staff Accountant to join a reputable real-estate development company in Delray Beach, Florida. In this role, you will support the controller and take on responsibilities across multiple entities, ensuring accurate financial management and reporting. Job Responsibility:

  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes to ensure timely and accurate transactions
  • Assist with month-end closing activities, including preparing and reconciling financial statements
  • Perform account reconciliations to maintain accurate records across multiple entities
  • Handle bookkeeping tasks and maintain organized financial documentation
  • Generate financial statements and reports to support decision-making
  • Monitor and apply accrual accounting principles to ensure compliance
  • Collaborate with the controller to address financial discrepancies and improve processes
  • Utilize Excel for financial analysis and data management
  • Support property management accounting functions to align with industry standards
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements in all accounting operations

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's in accounting or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in real estate or property management
  • Proficiency in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bookkeeping functions
  • Strong knowledge of accrual accounting principles and practices
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and reporting
  • Experience with month-end closing processes and generating financial statements
  • Ability to manage multiple sets of books with accuracy and efficiency
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities to collaborate effectively within a team
