We are looking for a detail-oriented part-time Staff Accountant to join a team in Appleton, Wisconsin. In this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute to a collaborative and supportive work environment while handling key accounting functions. Job Responsibility:
Support routine financial close activities by preparing journal entries and conducting account reconciliations
Review and reconcile general ledger accounts, including cash, asset, and other balance sheet accounts to maintain accuracy
Monitor inventory processes and assist with tracking materials and finished products
Analyze financial and operational costs, identify variances, and provide insights to inform business decisions
Assist with processing accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
Participate in budgeting and forecasting processes to help support organizational planning
Work collaboratively with other departments to streamline and improve financial workflows
Prepare and review financial statements and management reports to monitor company performance
Assist with payroll administration and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
Requirements:
Associate degree in Accounting or a related field, or equivalent experience
Proficient in accounting software and common business applications, especially Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
Skilled at working with large sets of data with a high degree of accuracy
Strong organizational and time management abilities to consistently meet deadlines
Detail-oriented with a focus on maintaining accurate financial records
Able to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality
Experienced in managing general ledger activities, posting journal entries, and preparing financial statements
Knowledgeable about budgeting, forecasting, and inventory-related processes.
