Job Description:

Our client, a reputable and growing manufacturing company in Mississauga, is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Staff Accountant to join their finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to advance their career in a dynamic and fast-paced industry.

Job Responsibility:

Prepare and maintain general ledger entries, including monthly accruals and journal entries
Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial closing processes
Reconcile balance sheet accounts and prepare related supporting schedules
Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions, ensuring accuracy and timely payments
Assist with payroll processing and reconciliation of payroll-related accounts
Provide support for external audits and compliance reporting
Collaborate with other departments to resolve any financial discrepancies or inquiries

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
3+ years of experience in an accounting role
A strong history of handling both accounts payable and accounts receivable responsibilities
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar)
Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
