Robert Half is seeking a Staff Accountant to join our client in NE Portland on a contract basis. This hybrid position provides essential accounting support for a dynamic organization. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in accounting processes, including AR, AP, and financial reporting, while contributing to the seamless operation of financial activities.
Job Responsibility:
Manage accounts receivable processes, including invoice entries and tracking payments
Oversee accounts payable functions by ensuring invoices are accurately tracked and processed in a timely manner
Issue purchase orders and maintain accurate records for procurement activities
Prepare monthly financial statements, including journal entries and general ledger updates
Develop cash flow forecasts to support strategic financial planning
Generate monthly financial performance reports for ownership, ensuring clarity and accuracy
Collaborate with the operations manager to streamline accounting workflows and enhance efficiency
Assist with month-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
Requirements:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting or related roles
Proficiency in handling journal entries and maintaining general ledger accounts
Strong knowledge of accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
Experience with month-end close procedures and financial statement preparation
Ability to develop cash flow forecasts and analyze financial performance
Familiarity with accounting software
experience with Deltek is preferred
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Strong communication abilities to collaborate effectively with team members
