Job Description:

Robert Half is looking for a Staff Accountant for a long-term contract position. As a Staff Accountant, you will prepare monthly and year-end closings, journal entries, fixed asset maintenance, bank reconciliation, and general ledger reconciliation. During the monthly close, you will be responsible for many aspects of internal reporting. You will assist with the development and implementation of accounting policies. The Staff Accountant is very involved as it will produce Cash Flow projections, Budgets, and Financial Statements.

Job Responsibility:

Compile and analyze financial information to prepare financial statements including monthly, quarterly and annual accounts
Ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with accepted policies and procedures
Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end close processes
Resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities
Assist in financial audits and coordination of the audit process
Prepare monthly and year-end closings, journal entries, fixed asset maintenance, bank reconciliation, and general ledger reconciliation
Produce Cash Flow projections, Budgets, and Financial Statements
Assist with the development and implementation of accounting policies

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in accounting preferred
5+ years' experience in accounting
Advanced knowledge of Excel
SAP and ADP experience preferred
Experience with computerized general ledger systems
Professional verbal and written communication skills
Ability to multi-task, prioritize tasks and resolve issues
Self-starter and independent
Ability to function well in a team-oriented environment
Strong problem solving and analytical skills
