This role involves handling a variety of accounting functions, including auditing, budgeting, financial analysis, and payroll management. Job Responsibility:
Conduct financial audits and propose enhancements to existing procedures
Collaborate with internal and external auditors to ensure successful audit completion
Assist in annual budget preparation and oversee budget administration throughout the year
Monitor revenue and expense trends, recommending adjustments to maintain financial control
Develop long-term financial plans for capital assets in collaboration with leadership
Prepare and analyze financial reports, statements, and special analyses to support decision-making
Establish and maintain internal controls to ensure compliance with auditing standards
Oversee payroll processes, including approvals, reporting, and contributions
Implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency of the accounting department
Supervise and train staff and volunteers, ensuring adherence to organizational policies
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field
Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks and Microsoft Office 365
Strong knowledge of auditing standards and financial reporting principles
Experience with budgeting, financial planning, and analysis
Ability to manage payroll processes and ensure accuracy in contributions
Familiarity with corporate tax, sales tax, and journal entries
Excellent organizational and communication skills
Proven ability to establish effective internal controls and safeguard financial data
