Job Description

This role involves handling a variety of accounting functions, including auditing, budgeting, financial analysis, and payroll management. As this is a long-term contract position, the ideal candidate will bring expertise in accounting principles and software, along with a commitment to delivering reliable financial insights and process improvements.

Job Responsibility

  • Conduct financial audits and propose enhancements to existing procedures
  • Collaborate with internal and external auditors to ensure successful audit completion
  • Assist in annual budget preparation and oversee budget administration throughout the year
  • Monitor revenue and expense trends, recommending adjustments to maintain financial control
  • Develop long-term financial plans for capital assets in collaboration with leadership
  • Prepare and analyze financial reports, statements, and special analyses to support decision-making
  • Establish and maintain internal controls to ensure compliance with auditing standards
  • Oversee payroll processes, including approvals, reporting, and contributions
  • Implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency of the accounting department
  • Supervise and train staff and volunteers, ensuring adherence to organizational policies

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field
  • Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks and Microsoft Office 365
  • Strong knowledge of auditing standards and financial reporting principles
  • Experience with budgeting, financial planning, and analysis
  • Ability to manage payroll processes and ensure accuracy in contributions
