Job Description:

We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Woburn, Massachusetts. This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to essential accounting functions while ensuring the accuracy of financial records and processes. Job Responsibility:

  • Prepare and issue invoices to customers, ensuring timely and accurate billing
  • Record cash receipts and reconcile accounts receivable to maintain accurate financial data
  • Process and voucher invoices from domestic and factory vendors with attention to detail
  • Coordinate semi-monthly wire payments to international factories, adhering to deadlines and compliance standards
  • Analyze accounts using Excel to identify discrepancies and maintain financial accuracy
  • Perform bank reconciliations for multiple accounts, including operating, merchant, and money market accounts
  • Create and post standard journal entries, including prepaid expense amortization, insurance amortization, and fixed asset depreciation
  • Maintain general ledger accounts and assist with month-end close processes
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth financial operations and reporting
  • Provide support for audits and other financial reviews as required

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience in roles involving accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • Proficiency in performing bank reconciliations and managing general ledger accounts
  • Strong skills in preparing and posting journal entries, including amortizations and depreciation
  • Familiarity with month-end close procedures and financial reporting
  • Advanced knowledge of SAP and Excel for accounting and data analysis tasks
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills to ensure accuracy in all financial processes
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with vendors, teams, and stakeholders
