Job Description:

We are looking for a dedicated Staff Accountant to join our team in Lexington, South Carolina. This Contract-to-permanent position offers an opportunity to work in the construction industry, contributing to essential accounting functions and supporting financial operations.

Job Responsibility:

Perform month-end close procedures, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting
Prepare and post journal entries to maintain the integrity of the general ledger
Support audit processes by providing necessary documentation and resolving inquiries
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions efficiently
Conduct bank reconciliations to verify and balance financial records
Utilize accounting software such as NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, or SAP to complete tasks
Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement solutions to enhance efficiency
Collaborate with team members to ensure compliance with company financial policies
Monitor and analyze financial data to provide insights and recommendations
Maintain a positive and proactive attitude while addressing challenges

Requirements:

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Proficiency in accounting software, including NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, or SAP
Strong skills in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger management
Experience with journal entries and month-end close processes
Ability to perform accurate bank reconciliations and financial recordkeeping
Solid understanding of audit requirements and preparation
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting
Excellent communication and organizational skills with a proactive approach
